Supporting Temora Through Local Projects and Youth Programs

The Rotary Club of Temora is proud to support a wide range of community initiatives through donations, fundraising and hands-on service. From youth development and driver education to peace initiatives and education support, our projects are designed to make a positive and lasting difference in the Temora community.

Driver simulator

The Rotary Driver Training Simulator gives Temora high school students who are just starting to drive the opportunity to experience a range of driving conditions in a safe, supervised environment.

Owned and operated by the Rotary Club of Young, the simulator focuses on two important road safety messages: the dangers of distractions such as mobile phones and texting, and the effects of alcohol and other substances on driving ability.

Peace poles

Rotary’s Peace Pole Project is a visible reminder of Rotary’s commitment to peace and understanding. Each Peace Pole carries the message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” in different languages on each side.

Peace Poles are installed at schools, community parks and gardens, helping to share Rotary’s message with young people and the wider community.

Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN)

The Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment (RYPEN) is designed to build confidence, self-esteem and resilience in young people, while encouraging them to recognise their strengths and potential.

RYPEN is aimed at students who may be overlooked for other leadership or development opportunities, providing them with the chance to grow, connect and believe in their abilities.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)

The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is a seven-day residential leadership program for young adults aged 18 to 28.

RYLA helps participants develop leadership skills, build confidence, form valuable networks and gain the tools to create positive change in their communities.

Temora and District Education Fund (TDEF) support

The Rotary Club of Temora proudly supports the Temora and District Education Fund (TDEF), which provides grants to local young people aged 16 to 25 to help them pursue post-school study, training and career pathways.

TDEF grants can assist with costs such as course fees, textbooks, tools, accommodation, travel and workwear. The Rotary Club of Temora provides funding for two grants each year.

Rotary Foundation

The Rotary Foundation is the charitable arm of Rotary International and supports major service projects that address critical global issues such as disease, poverty, illiteracy and environmental challenges.

Through programs such as PolioPlus, district grants, global grants and disaster response grants, the Foundation helps Rotary clubs create meaningful impact both locally and around the world.
