Supporting Temora Through Fundraising

Fundraising plays an important role in helping the Rotary Club of Temora support local organisations, community programs and charitable initiatives. Through a range of annual fundraising events and ongoing activities, we raise funds that are returned directly to the community through donations and support for organisations such as CanAssist, FoodCare, Temora Community Centre, Meals on Wheels and Plates of Plenty.

Wood Raffle

Held in May and June each year, just in time for winter, the Temora Rotary Wood Raffle gives local community members the chance to win large trailer loads of quality seasoned firewood.

In preparation, Rotary members come together for an annual wood chopping day to cut, split and prepare local ironbark firewood for the lucky winners.

Rotary at the Movies

Our Rotary at the Movies events are a fun way to bring the community together while raising funds for local emergency relief and community support initiatives.

Biannual Moo Poo Fundraiser

Held twice a year, usually in May and September, the Moo Poo Fundraiser gives local residents the opportunity to purchase trailer loads or bags of cow manure for their gardens.

This popular fundraiser is made possible through the support of Jindalee Feedlot at Springdale and Temora Shire Council.

Second-hand Bookshop

Our Second-hand Bookshop is Rotary Temora’s largest ongoing fundraising initiative and plays an important role in supporting the club’s community projects and donations.
