The Rotary Club of Temora worked with the Rotary Club of Belconnen to host the Rotary District 9705 Conference in Temora 18-20th March. District 9705 comprises 83 Rotary Clubs with the region covering from Pambula on the south coast to as far west as Lake Cargelligo. We welcomed approx. 260 visiting Rotarians to our beautiful town. The Conference began Friday night with a welcome BBQ in the RFS Shed at the Bundawarrah Centre, followed by Saturday at the Temora Town Hall facility. On Saturday evening we enjoyed the hospitality of the Temora Aviation Museum with a Conference dinner and dancing in their hanger. The Conference concluded lunchtime on Sunday with a tour of our Temora Rotary Second-hand bookshop. With keynote speakers, including Dr Chadden Hunter, a wildlife filmmaker who has worked alongside David Attenborough, presentations on Rotary programs from around the district and plenty of opportunities for fellowship and touring our local offerings, this was a full weekend. Rotary Club of Temora are grateful to all in our local community who made things happen, especially with catering, venues, transport, and accommodation. We couldn’t wait to welcome District 9705 to our town and hope our visitors enjoyed their stay!
